Crescent Beach in the “off-season“
Horst would say the biggest difference between living in-land versus living on the sea was when the weather was not perfect. “When you are land-locked it can be depressing, but on the sea it is romantic“. Crescent Beach enjoys more sunshine than any other part of mainland Pacific BC. There are no mountains behind the beach, allowing west winds to blow clouds down the Frazer valley. There is rarely snow in the winter. The growing region is similar to Victoria, allowing southern coastal plants and trees to grow all year. Notice the beautiful Arbutus tree in front of the deck.
